Abbril Mulatobeats

Commitment and sensibility with a global vision, in this way Abbril offers his music. This duo work as environmental musicians and conservationist activists, helping to protect the numerous and diverse native Latin American cultures, by raising awareness in the people with their music and lyrics.

ABBRIL is a Peruvian duo formed in Lima in 2010, comprising Ana Cecilia Brozovich (vocals, percussion & keyboards) and Gallardo Alfredo (songwriter, producer, composer, programming, vocals, guitar, bass & keyboards). ABBRIL performs an amazingly diverse repertoire of music genres ranging from rock to classic, and their own original compositions including pop, Peruvian folk, Latin fusion and electronic.

A few months after Cecilia and Ricardo teamed up they recorded eleven pop songs for their first album De Forma Clara (In a Clear Way), released on January 2011. Two tracks, Verás and Cara Morena, topped the on-line radio rankings among local and foreign websites. The album also had significant media coverage and favorable reviews.

In 2014, ABBRIL released their second album named MulatoBeats, which lead us through a trip on a variety of rhythms and sensations where we can enjoy the fusion of different music genres like Peruvian Lando with Brazilian Bossanova, Urban hip-hop with Afro Peruvian music, and Electronic music with melodies from Andean stringed instruments. In addition, in this album lyrics are song in several languages like Quechua and Aymara (native Central Andean languages), Portuguese, Italian, and English, shown in Mulata track. These wide-ranging genres, rhythms and tongues show the spirit of ABBRIL: the power of music surpasses any cultural or physical frontier.
